Pat Release -7019 is recommended for smooth release of patterns used in self setting moulding systems. It is recommended for all permanent patterns (epoxy, wood, metal) and with all types of organic and inorganic chemical binders (silicate, alkyd, furan, urethane, phenolic-ester).
Pat Release- 7019 incorporates finely divided rolled aluminium flake powder which lubricates the pattern. On removing the pattern from the mould small amounts of aluminium will normally remain adhering to the mould face which ensures a good, clean release.
After uniform mixing Pat Release-7019 can be applied to clean patterns or core box by brush, cloth or light spraying. No additions of solvents or thinners are necessary unless some has been lost through evaporation from an opened can. (Craftanol-IPA can be added in this case). After application wait for 30-60 Seconds to completely evaporate the solvent before filling the box with mixed sand. The very thin film of aluminium adhering to the pattern gives excellent release from the surfaces. A number of release are usually possible with intermittent ‘touch ups' applied to areas prone to wear.
- Multiple clean lifts from a single application
- More effective than silicones in cold parting situations
- Overcomes the sticking problems associated with resin bonded sands
Physical properties of PAT RELEASE – 7019 are as follows :
