CERAFLUX – ZN (M) is white coloured crystalline powder flux to be used for zinc and zinc base alloys as a covering, protecting and refining flux.

Application Rate 0.5 to 1% on the molten metal weight
CERAFLUX – ZN (M) is added while melting as per following sequence.
About half quantity is added first when the melting starts and balance half when the melt is about to get ready. CERAFLUX – ZN (M) will form dross which should be mixed well in the molten metal with the help of a perforated plunger. As soon as the reaction is over wait for few minutes and skim off the dross, now metal is ready for pouring.
The recommended temperature range for the treatment of CERAFLUX- ZN (M) is 430-460C as at higher temperature; the rate of loss of zinc is more along with high fuming.
While melting zinc base alloys, it is essential to have a protective cover due to low melting point of zinc. CERAFLUX – ZN (M) curtails fuming and also eliminates heavy dross formation. The special ingredients of CERAFLUX – ZN (M) removes suspended oxides and nonmetallic impurities from the melt.
Loss of zinc due to oxidation is minimized by the protective layer formed by the drossing and covering action of CERAFLUX – ZN (M).
Ensure that prepared coating is of uniform consistency. It should be free from lumps & foreign particles.
