Slagbond 30 M
Slag Coagulant
Granular flux for Gun Metal/ Aluminium Bronze/ Copper Base Alloy.
When the melt is ready, it has a thin top layer of fragile liquid slag, which breaks or spreads immediately and it also flows alongwith the liquid metal. This slag creates inclusion defect in the casting. Liquid slag forms a metal built up on the walls of ladles and induction furnace.
When sprinkled on molten metal and stirred, collects and modifies the nature of the slag and coagulates of form a tough plastic mass. This mass can easily be skimmed off. The blanket of SLAGBOND- 30M left as it is on the molten metal surface, prevents the heat losses.
The quantity of application of SLAGBOND 30M mainly depends on metal surface area and the type of metal; but generally 0.5 to 1 Kg / ton recommended.
We offer a wide range of foundry products and services to meet the requirements of iron, steel and non-ferrous
foundries to help them to reduce defects, improve casting quality and optimise production costs.
